It’s been a good year with a number of activities raising funds for the Group.  These include:

• Litter collection by the scouts after the Birdham Boot Sales
• Children’s Day at Oaklands Park
• Distribution (again by the scouts) of leaflets of behalf of West Wittering Parish Council

 Other fundraising activities for the future are

• The Christmas Santa Sleigh (in conjunction with the Lions)
• Marquee and HQ hire
• The New Year's Day Big Dip 2011

The Executive Committee want to ensure that the ‘burden’ of developing and managing the events programme does not rest with the section leaders who are already very generous in their donation of time.  Would you be prepared to either join the fundraising committee or join a ‘hit squad’ of people we can call on to help with events?  There’s a notice up as you enter the Scout HQ for you to add your details or send us an email with your details.  It really doesn’t have to be onerous, you can give as much or as little time as you are able and fundraising is vitally important to the Group.
